Agenda Club

Agenda Club will be in my room this week. Agenda Club is held Mon., Tues., Thurs. and Fri. directly after school for 5-10 minutes to have their agendas checked.  If students come all four days in one week they earn a small prize.  Thank you!

Homework Access Issue

I think I've just corrected the problem with viewers having access to the weekly homework. Several people have had to ask permission to download this document.  Hopefully this is resolved. Please email me if you are still having a problem. Thanks!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Advent!!!

Today is not only the first Sunday in Advent, but it also marks the first day of the new Liturgical year, Cycle C. The Liturgical year is made up of six seasons: Advent, Christmas Time, Lent, Sacred Paschal Triduum, Easter Time, and Ordinary Time. You can find more information at http://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/liturgical-year/ .

We are welcoming Sadie and Sophie Schindler to our class on Monday. We're so happy to have them be a part of the OLF school family!

Homework is attached.  Reading logs are due this Wednesday. Please be sure to sign this for your student. New reading logs will be going home Monday and due the Wednesday after Christmas break. Your child should be reading at least 600 minutes each month.

Thursday morning is our field trip to Seattle Children's Theater. We'll be leaving school at 9:30 and returning at 1pm. Students are to wear their school uniforms. More info on lunch will be coming.
Have a great week!

Wednesday's Homework

Today's homework is somewhat of a reflection/evaluation worksheet based on the science show students participated in today.  In order for me to get a clear view of their background knowledge on the concepts presented, please do not assist your child with the paper.  Thank You!

Mrs. Ferguson's Reading Group- Spelling Update

Today your students will come home with a spelling activity sheet that can be used throughout the rest of the year.  There are several fun activities to choose from.  They choose one/night (Mon.-Thurs.) to complete and turn in the next day.  They must choose a different activity each night during a given week, but may repeat activities when given a new word list the following week.  There are also several activities you can print off of Spellingcity.com that they can turn in as homework. Practicing nightly will help them solidify their learning of new and more challenging spelling patterns.  Thanks for your support!!!
